A spider… or is that a crab?

I could not for the life of me get a good photo of this guy because he was busy making a web over my hammock and wouldn’t stop moving.  But he was SO cool, and I made everyone within sight hop over to my bungalow to see it.  They weren’t as excited as I was.

I couldn’t get  a good shot, but his “shell” was red, black, and yellow with two little red “eyes” painted like demons on his back.

Youngdo (영도), Busan, South Korea

My couchsurfer Martin and I woke up late on Saturday.  The noraebang was worth it, but we didn’t have time to go to Sinbulsan as planned.

So I suggested Young Island (Youngdo).

There were some walkers, and some fishermen, some families with trike-riding, whining children, but…

if you look hard enough, you can find a quiet place.

Martin climbed a rock, but I’m scared of heights.

And, if you haven’t noticed, I love spiders.  We saw 3 bazillion of these–

And then we wanted pizza desperately, and waited at a quiet bus stop by the sea.

Even in a crowded country, those quiet places are out there.

To get to Youngdo get off at Nampo-dong Subway Station.  Take a bus bound for Youngdo from the “Jagalchi side” of the street (nearest the water).
